WHAT IS TRAVEL TRAINING?

Travel Training is about getting helpful advice to assist you to become more independent in accessing your community. It is about planning your journey so you can feel relaxed and confident when you travel. It may be that you need help with understanding timetables or someone to go with you for the first time. The amount of help is dependent on your individual needs.

WHY TRAVEL TRAIN?

Travel Training aims to educate, enable and empower people to travel confidently between their place of residence and their place of work, school or any other destination. It helps individuals become more confident and self-reliant as a result of learning to travel independently.

WHERE CAN YOU GO?

You can use Public Transport to get to many places. It maybe that you want to travel to the city, travel to your place of employment or education or even to go shopping in your local area or visit a family member.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

People who require information, support, and/ or training to assist them to access public transport independently. 
Eligible participants must have basic understanding of road rules.
